India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20I: India registered a 86 runs win.
India vs Bangladesh 3 match series started on 6th October 2024, after a dominating win in the 1st T20I at Gwalior. The action now has shifted from Gwalior to Delhi, the young India team faced the Bangladesh team at Arun Jaitley stadium for the second T20I match of the series on Wednesday, 9th October. At the toss Bangladeshi captain Naimul Hossain Shanto won the toss and put India to bat first, India was out with the same team as the 1st T20I match but the Bangladesh team had made 1 change in their playing XI Tanzim Hasan Sakib came in the team in place of Shoriful Islam. The new pair of India openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma were out on the field, they hit 3 boundaries in the first over and scored 15 runs in the first over of the innings. But after the first over the Indian openers lost their rhythm and started losing wickets and the Bangladesh bowlers were all over India when the score was 41-3 with Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma and Surya Kumar Yadav back in the pavilion then the innings was controlled by two Indian youngsters Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh together they both added 108 runs partnership in just 48 runs. Nitish Kumar Yadav scored 74 ( 34) and Rinku Singh scored 53 (29), at the end the finishing touches to the inning were given by Hardik Pandya by scoring a quick 32 runs off 19 balls and took India’s total to 221-9 in 20 overs. In the second innings Bangladesh team was only able to score 135-9 in their 20 overs where Nitish Kumar Reddy and Varun Chakravarthy both picked 2-2 wickets which helped India to register their highest margin win against Bangladesh by 86 runs, India also sealed the 3 match T20I series by leading it by 2-0. Nitish Kumar Reddy was the Man of the Match for his all-round performance, scoring 74 runs off 34 balls and picking up 2 wickets, which helped India to win the match and seal the series. The 3rd T20I match between India and Bangladesh will be played on 13th October in Hyderabad where India will be looking to whitewash Bangladesh in the series.
