India vs Bangladesh upcoming series.
The India vs Bangladesh series will kick off on 19th September, where Bangladesh will be touring India for 2 test matches and 3 t20 internationals. After a long break, the men in blues will be seen in action again, and all the senior men and star players Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah can be seen in action again. The first test match of the series will be played on 19-23 September, in Chennai, and the second test match will be played in Green Park, Kanpur from 27 September to 1 October, with India’s long-awaited test season beginning with these two matches against Bangladesh will be followed by the Australia series of Border Gavaskar Trophy in November. Along with the 2 tests Bangladesh and India will be playing 3 t20 internationals starting from 6th October to 12th October. Bangladesh is coming to India with high confidence as they had made a historic clean sweep of 2-0 Pakistan on their home soil.
The BCCI on Sunday announced India’s squad for the first home test.
Rohit Sharma will be leading the team, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul making their return and Yash Dayal and Akash Deep two young pacers making their debut in the test squad. This would be the first appearance of Rishabh Pant in the White jersey since his horrific accident. Whereas India’s star fast bowler Mohammad Shami who was set to make his comeback with the Bangladesh series is still unavailable, as he is going through a recovery process from his Achilles heel surgery earlier this year, but still the BCCI has only announced the squad for the 1st test match, so there are chances of seeing major changes and return of players in the second test match starting from 27th September. This home series will also be very crucial for Virat Kohli as he has already missed India’s last home test series against England, so it will be an important series for him as since his retirement from the t20 international after winning the T20 World Cup, he would have been more focused for the longer format.
