PV Sindhu’s father reveals the appointment of a new coach by PV Sindhu, having a strong connection to Lakshya Sen. Further Sindhu’s father talked about her return to the Asian games for more success, as she has nothing left to prove anything. After having an unsuccessful campaign at the Paris Olympics 2024, PV Sindhu decided to take a break to regain her motivation towards badminton to achieve more success and prepare for the Asian Games 2026 in Japan. The star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is planning for her comeback from the upcoming European season, and following the footsteps of fellow shuttler Lakshya Sen by having the same choice in the selection of coach for the tour. As PV Sindhu’s father Ramana revealed about her comeback through the Asian Games 2026, Japan, he also added that the Indian star shuttler has nothing left to prove. But in Asian games also just like the Olympics Sindhu has grabbed bronze and silver medals but not having the gold yet. PV Sindhu will be making her comeback in the European season in which she will be accompanied by former badminton player Anup Sridhar, who was working with Lakshya Sen previously. PV Sindhu’s contract with her previous coach Indonesia’s Agus Dwi Santoso, comes to an end after the Paris Olympics 2024. So we are looking forward to the European season to look at how the partnership goes with Anup Sridhar, and we are having 4-5 other names in mind while going further. In the upcoming days Anup Sridhar will be training her in Hyderabad and travel to Finland, Mr Ramana added. Mr Ramana further said that the former coach from Korea Park Tae-Sung was also on the list, but he was not chosen. He clarified that the partnership ended as I and Sindhu both felt that we were not getting the desired results and things were not working according to the plans. Park Tae-Sung Sindhu won 2 gold at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the Tokyo Olympics, in 2020. He further revealed the upcoming schedule of PV Sindhu with coach Anup Sridhar, she will be playing the Arctic Open in Finland from 8th October and the Denmark Open starting from 15th October.
