India vs Bangladesh 1st test India secure a dominant win.

India secured a dominant 280-run win against Bangladesh in the 1st test match on the 4th day. Rohit Sharma and company continue their dominance in test cricket at home which makes them undefeated at home series since 2012. India won the first test match played against Bangladesh on Sunday, 22nd September, at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai; R Ashwin was the man of the match for his all-round performance throughout the first test match. Ashwin made 113 runs in the first innings and saved the team from a collapse with Sir Jadeja, who missed his well-deserved century and scored 86 runs in the first innings. Since then, the Indian team has been dominant in the match.

India vs Bangladesh 1st test match started on 19th September, in Chennai. On the first day, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and decided to field first and put India to bat; after the toss, when the playing 11 was announced, everyone was surprised to see 3 pacers in both teams. Bangladesh had a superb start for the match. They took 3 early wickets from captain Rohit Sharma, Shubhman Gill, and Virat Kohli and made the scorecard 34-3, placing them at the top of India in the 1st session. Then the innings were supported by Rishab Pant who made his most awaited comeback in test cricket and a youngster Yashaswi Jaiswal moved the innings forward and scored 39 and 56 respectively the main heroes for 1st inning were Ravi Ashwin and Sir Jadeja who scored 113 and 86 respectively and helped India reach 376 runs in the first inning. In the second innings, Bangladesh was all out in 149 where Jasprit Bumrah took 4 wickets, and Siraj Aakash Deep and Sir Jadeja took 2-2 wickets each and after the second innings India led the match by 227 runs in the 3rd innings India again came to bat and for this innings, the heroes were Shubhman Gill and Rishabh Pant where both scored a century, where Rishabh Pant scored 109 and announced his comeback into the test cricket before the important matches to come and put an end to all the questions upon his selection in the team. In the 3rd innings, India scored 287 runs and declared the innings with a lead of 514 runs. In the 4th inning, Bangladesh came out with a positive mindset and had a great start they were 62 for no loss, and at the end of day 3 Bangladesh was 158-4 and the match was stopped because of bad light, and on day 4 the Bangladesh innings was completed in the first session only where Ravi Ashwin took 6 wickets, and Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets and the 1 wicket was taken by Jasprit Bumrah ensuring India’s dominant win in the 1st test match. The second test match between India and Bangladesh will be played on 27 September at Green Park, Kanpur.
