Manu Bhaker Shares Her Shooting Journey at NDTV Yuva Conclave Interview.
In the interview with NDTV Yuva Conclave, Manu Bhaker was asked many questions to which she gave some bold answers. Manu Bhaker the star Indian shooter athlete is setting new heights for the people who want to follow shooting. Since the independence of India, Manu became the first Indian woman to win 2 Olympic medals in a single edition of the Olympics. Manu Bhaker also is the first female shooter to win an Olympic medal. Manu Bhaker was one of the guests at the NDTV Yuva Conclave where the Indian shooter opened up about her journey and won two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics 2024. Manu is a 22-year-old and has an extraordinary talent in her game which helped her to secure 2 bronze medals 1 in women’s 1 m air pistol and the other in the mixed 10 m air pistol team event where she was paired with. One of the reporters asked, Manu about who is that 1 sports person with whom she wanted to switch her life for a day, for which Manu came up with a bold statement stating ” To be honest I would not like to switch my life with anyone” even if the time is not going in my favor ( chahe bura hi wqt chal raha ho) I don’t want to do that.” The other question that was put up in front of her was what else she would like to do besides shooting, for this Manu gave a very beautiful answer she said, ” shooting is the love of my life and I like to shoot as long as possible and bring as many medals as I can for India. She said not only shooting but I enjoy dressing up and other things as well but shooting is always my priority.” In the interview Manu also talked about how the sports person needs to know how to deal with anger and frustration for this she added that I have learned to channel my anger into some positive things and till now it has been working well for me. As we all know Haryana has given us many athletes, but all of them are wrestlers or boxers. In that case, Manu got her interest in shooting. During school time, she realized that her interest lies in sports, and she has also excelled in martial arts at the national level and won medals. Manu was very determined towards her shooting passion, shooting was her love and she wanted to reach the top level in this sport, which started with winning bronze medals at the Paris Olympics 2024.
